Embracing Change with our CLN Learning Conference Speakers

The top L&D speakers at our upcoming CLN Learning Conference are ready to embrace change, from the ever-evolving capabilities of AI to the new and distinct role of leadership in the modern era.

Tomissa Smittendorf, Sr. Director, Commercial Capabilities at Kellanova, discussed how AI is paving the way for highly personalized learning experiences, emphasizing that investing in this technology is essential for organizations looking to stay ahead of the curve and bolster their learning ecosystems with the latest advancements.

“In the next few years, I believe we will continue to see personalized learning become increasingly tailored not only to roles and skill levels but also to personal learning styles, interests, and career aspirations with all of the AI advancements,” Organizations need to understand and invest in the technology that can be leveraged for a reasonable and scalable approach, as well as continue to foster a culture of continuous learning.” -Tomissa Smittendorf, Sr. Director, Commercial Capabilities at Kellanova

The role of leadership is also undergoing a profound shift. While the capabilities needed to lead successfully remain constant, says Patty Bedard, Head of Executive Development at The Walt Disney Company. “What is changing is the way we experience leadership.” She continued,

“Today, [employees] want to know ‘why,’ ‘says who?’ and ‘what does this mean for my lifestyle?’ Leaders are being pushed to be more authentic than before, and ‘spinning’ messages are now called out and dismissed. To capture the hearts of our employees, leaders must know themselves at a deeper level and authentically communicate their message in a simple way. Our employees are more interested in who we are as leaders and can ‘sniff’ out when we are not genuinely interested in their needs.”

Attend the CLN Learning Conference, from April 14-16, 2025 in Los Angeles, to hear Tomissa Smittendorf and Patty Bedard share even more insightful thoughts on these topics and more at the CLN Learning Conference. You’ll contribute and innovate with learning leaders around AI, leadership, and much more, embracing your own role as a change agent.
