John is Director of Learning at Tanglin Trust School and is a member of the whole school Leadership and Management Teams.  In his current role, his focus is ensuring that Tanglin’s curriculum remains relevant and appropriately challenging across the full age range of the school, and that Tanglin learners are developing the skills that they will need for life in a fast paced, global society.

John started his teaching career as a secondary school teacher of Physics.  He has taught in 5 different schools, in the UK, Bermuda and Singapore.  Before moving into the Director of Learning role at Tanglin, John was Head of Science in the Senior School and later Assistant Headteacher, with responsibility for Curriculum and Assessment.
