Chris Raymaakers has been working at Singapore American School
since 2007. During that time, he has been a middle school science and math
teacher and now serves as one of the deputy principals in the middle school.
Before coming to Singapore, Chris taught both science and math at Taipei
American School, and prior to moving overseas, Chris worked in his hometown of
Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
In the last five years, Chris has been involved in many aspects of innovative
space design including choosing an architectural firm, designing the physical
spaces, and working closely with teachers to help match physical spaces to
instructional practice. During this time, Chris has been involved in the design
of multiple flexible learning spaces and is excited to share what he has
learned through this iterative process.
