Marie-Christine Potvin (PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences, McGill University) is an occupational therapist with 20 years of experience working with children with disabilities, their family and their teams.
She also has 14 years of experience working in academia supporting the learning of students with different learning needs using a variety of delivery modes. Most recently, she has spearheaded the development of a program to support the academic success of college students with disability at Thomas Jefferson University. She has published 10 peer-reviewed articles and 2 book chapters. She has also presented at a dozen peer-reviewed conferences nationally and internationally. Whether teaching, presenting or mentoring, she engages students in active learning. As an early adopter of universal design for learning principles, Dr. Potvin believes that active learning spaces must be designed to meet the needs of all learners.
