Dominik Rus

Global Head of Learning Science, Innovation & Technology TTEC

Dominik is the L&D Director at Copa Airlines, overseeing all

corporate learning initiatives for over 11,000 employees in more

than 30 countries.

His department offers over 30 programs in leadership &

management, customer service, foreign languages, as well as

almost a dozen specific development programs such as high

potentials development, coaching, and mentoring programs.

Dominik has been an instructor, project manager learning and consultant for numerous

L&D programs at various education centers in Europe, the US, and Central America. Prior

to joining Copa in 2012, he was the Panama L&D Director for National Assets Recovery

Services (now Radius Global Solutions), a major US business process outsourcing

company, where he oversaw corporate L&D in the banking, IT, automotive, and service

industries.

He is an external professor of neuroleadership at INCAE Business School in Costa Rica, an

external professor of L&D at University of Louisville in Panama, and a co-founder and

current President of Latin-American Association for the Innovation in Learning and Talent

Development (ALIAT).

Dominik considers himself a learning scientist—his academic background lies in

neuroscience approaches to learning and teaching. He holds a B.A. in English Linguistics

from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and a Ph.D. in neurolinguistics from

Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
