Sam Mellor is Vice President of Commercial Marketing and Enterprise Growth at BBC Studios Advertising, where she leads North American ad sales marketing, with a mandate to turn insight into action, aligning teams, strategy, and execution to drive growth for partners and long-term value for audiences across platforms. In this role, Sam is responsible for translating the BBC’s audience intelligence and editorial rigor into scalable marketing and strategy frameworks, helping brands navigate complex decision environments while maintaining trust, quality, and measurable commercial impact. Before joining the BBC, Sam served as Vice President of Brand Marketing and Head of Retail at Everlywell, a healthcare technology company, where she led brand transformation and cross-channel growth during a period of rapid expansion, aligning product, performance, and brand to support sustained adoption and scale. She also served as Vice President of Ad Product and Integrated Marketing at Hearst, where she helped guide the organization’s shift from legacy publishing toward a more technology- and product-driven commercial model. Earlier in her career, Sam held senior leadership roles at Condé Nast, NBCUniversal, Discovery Communications, and Porter Novelli, working at the intersection of brand, product, and commercial strategy.
