Hassan Farooqi is the Director of Learning and Development for North America at OSL Retail Services, where he leads enterprise learning, leadership development, and people systems across a workforce of over 10,000 employees, shaping how the organization builds capability and drives performance at scale.

Hassan’s work is centred on a simple idea: learning should drive performance. He has spent his career moving L&D beyond programs and into the core of how organizations execute, building systems that influence how leaders think, how teams operate, and how results are delivered at scale.

He is known for transforming Learning and Development from a traditional training function into a strategic performance lever. He partners closely with executive leadership to design capability-building systems that drive measurable outcomes in sales performance, employee engagement, and operational efficiency. His approach focuses on aligning learning to core business priorities, embedding learning into the flow of work, and using data and analytics to inform decision-making.

Under his leadership, OSL’s L&D team has been recognized with multiple industry awards, including Top 10, and Top 100 ONCON Learning and Development Team awards. Hassan holds an Executive MBA from the Rotman School of Management and is passionate about helping organizations position learning as a catalyst for enterprise transformation.
