John Seay

Executive Director Human Resources United States Space Force

Mr. Seay is a Senior Level federal employee and the Executive Director of Human Resources, Employee and Labor Relations and Human Capital Management for Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station, Colorado and Pituffik Air Base, Greenland. In this capacity he serves as the comprehensive strategic human capital advisor to the Installation Commander on core civilian personnel functions, ensuring compliance with federal laws and regulations for 46 organizations, including 2 combatant commands comprised of 3800 civilian personnel. Mr. Seay enlisted in the United States Air Force in October 1996. His background includes various duties supporting military operations, human resources management and character leadership development. Throughout his military career, he has filled a myriad of roles to include, Plans and Programs/Inspector General Office, Body, Mind and Spirit Trainer for Basic Military Training and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School. He has served overseas in Saudi Arabia and Iraq, in direct support of numerous combat operations. Additionally, Mr. Seay was hand selected to perform ceremonial duties for President George W. Bush’s 55th Presidential Inauguration, Washington, D.C. working jointly with the United States Secret Service. Since retiring from active duty in 2014, Mr. Seay worked several years in the corporate sector, most recently serving as Vice President, People and Operations for McWhinney Real Estate, Denver. Mr. Seay began his civil service career at the United States Air Force Academy in May 2018 and reentered the federal workforce in November 2022 in his current role.
