Dr Richard Bakken
Director, Instructional Support ServicesPrinceton University
Dr Richard Bakken serves as Director of Instructional
Support Services in OIT at Princeton University. He is a senior manager
in OIT Support Services and member of the Faculty Committee on Classrooms and
Schedules (FCCS), the Academic and Administrative Managers Group (AAMG), and
collaborates with the McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning on technology
applications for the University.
Dr Bakken's research is focused on leadership,
technology, and student affairs. He has published and presented on topics
in higher education administration and leadership that include informing
administrators how students describe their learning experiences in Western
university environments (based on research conducted at Education City in Doha,
Qatar), strategies to meet their needs, and ways that technology can impact the
process.
