John graduated from The University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2008 and has an MEd from University of San Diego with STEAM specialisation and a PGCE from the University of Cumbria. John has held the role of Head of Science and Head of Mathematics in schools in London, Hong Kong and Singapore.

John has a passion for design and making and since 2014 he has focused his practice on hands-on learning through the application of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEAM) in Design Technology Projects. He has also studied for a Masters in Education with STEAM specialisation at The University of San Diego.
