Senior Capital Planner, Physical Planning & Space Management University of Washington-Bothell
David Moehring is the Senior Capital Planner at the
University of Washington Bothell, one of the fastest growing public
institutions in the state.
With the department of Physical Planning and Space
Management, David manages planning and implementation of the campus master plan
and facility development to support the academic and service missions dependent
on the campus physical environment. David serves as the chair of the Space
Utilization and Provisions Group (SUPER-G) and the collaborative chair of the
Campus Design Review Team. He has conducted several task forces including new
student residences and dining facility, the assessment of space needs between
departments, deferred maintenance / infrastructure planning and implementation,
and active-learning environments with the UW Bothell Office of Digital Learning
and Innovation (DLI). David brought to the University a 30-year background as a
registered architect responsible for a wide range of building design,
programming, and planning. Prior to joining the University, David was an
Assistant Director at the Office of Capital Project at the University of
Illinois Chicago. The majority of David's professional architect experience has
been in complex building design and renovations, academic facilities
programming and planning, civic and commercial building design including new
buildings in eight States and six countries.
