Dean of Libraries Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi
Rudowsky has nearly 20 years of experience in libraries, with more than 15 of
those years being in public academia.
She currently serves as the Dean of
Libraries at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where she has worked for the
past four years. Under the
direction of Dr. Rudowsky, the library has made great strides to align itself
with the strategic mission of the university and with the goal of becoming an
emerging research institution dedicated to service excellence for all students.
Work in this regard has included redesigning spaces and collections to provide
a flexible and technology-enriched environment; fostering online collections to
provide greater discoverability of and accessibility to unique collections;
evaluating the library’s virtual presence to align it with the physical
presence; and reorganizing library faculty and staff to allow for more
strategic and meaningful partnerships across campus.
Dr. Rudowsky earned a Ph.D.
in Communication Media and Instructional Technology from Indiana University
of Pennsylvania in 2013. She also holds a Master of Business Administration
from Indiana University of
Pennsylvania, a Master of Library and Information Science from University of
Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Ashland University in
Ashland, Ohio. She has authored or co-authored six publications, including a
book on helping students overcome library anxiety, has given numerous academic
presentations, including presentations at national conferences, and is a member
of various professional associations, where she routinely serves on committees.
