Musa Pam

Director of Operations, Logistics & Support Brown University

Musa has spent over two decades providing practical, quality, and innovative award-winning operational, energy engineering, facilities management, and corporate social responsibility solutions to institutional clients primarily in the six New England states and New York. He was named the 2017 Alumnus of the Year at Massachusetts Maritime Academy (MMA), he has formed two entrepreneurial ventures, and is regularly immersed in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, seeking solutions to unmet needs in the service economy. A regular guest-lecturer and mentor, he was formerly Adjunct Faculty Instructor in the Master of Science in Facilities Management (MSFM) graduate degree program at MMA. 

In his current role as Director of Operations, Logistics and Support at Brown University, Musa manages supply chain operations, contracts, engineering project support, and an award-winning preventive maintenance operation in support of the university’s 23,000 facilities management assets spread over 234 buildings and 7 million square feet.

Musa graduated Cum Laude with two Bachelor of Science Degrees – in Marine Engineering (Mechanical Engineering Concentration), and Facilities & Plant Engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, and holds a Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. He is a Certified Energy Manager, Certified Plant Engineer, and Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager. 

Among his leisure activities, Musa enjoys championing diversity, advocating for health and wellness best practices, volunteering at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital of Boston, at MMA, and as a mentor with Hack.Diversity to increase the representation of high-skilled minorities in the innovation economy. He loves his New England sports teams, especially the 6-time World Champion New England Patriots, he is an avid golfer - winning the 2017 North American One-Armed Golfer Association Sanders Division crown, is a voracious reader and aspiring author in his spare time, and proudly serves on the Engineering Advisory Council and the International Maritime Business Advisory Board at MMA, the Alumni Council at Boston University, and on the board of the non-profit North American One-Armed Golfer Association.
