Director of Learning and Development Rewards Network

Jay Fortuna empowers professionals at all levels to accomplish their Learning & Development goals through creating, implementing, and managing rich learning opportunities.

In his current position, Jay leads the Training and Development team at Rewards Network as the trail blazer in the design of their professional development program. Jay has reimagined the onboarding process for new hires, adapted a blended Sales Academy learning program for the training and growth of sales professionals, and has implemented strategies to engage and include diverse professionals in ongoing professional development.

Jay is no stranger to innovating learning and cultivating talent. Previously with The Horton Group, Jay was tasked with designing new and creative curriculum as the leading solution to the insurance brokerage industry's most universal challenge: how to grow organically. The program that Jay created gained early adoption and support from some of the largest carriers in the industry and is still changing the landscape of how rookie producer sales training is viewed and implemented. In 2017, Jay was named a Workforce Magazine 40 under 40 Game Changer for his work in creating and refacing learning opportunities to optimize talent.

In addition to the honor of Workforce 40 under 40, Jay is a decorated Learning and Development professional. Together with his tea, Jay was awarded Stevie Awards in three categories; Gold for Sales Training Program of the Year, Bronze for Sales Training Product of the Year, and Jay received a Bronze for Sales Training or Education Professional of the Year. Jay also led his team to achieve two awards from the Brandon Hall Excellence in Sales & Marketing Awards which included a Gold for Best Program for Sales Training and Performance and a Silver for Best Sales Onboarding Program. Jay was additionally named as a Finalist by the Institute for Excellence in Sales (IES) for Sales Innovation of the Year.
