Megan Ruotolo is an accomplished, results-driven executive with over 25 years of proven expertise in enabling performance through the implementation of large-scale, businessaligned Learning & Development strategies and functions. Throughout her career, Megan has specialized in developing leaders and customer service professionals, and her organizations have been recognized among the top in the nation based on her ability to transform traditional knowledge-based training into contemporary skill-based development that enhances cultures and propels engagement and performance.
Megan is currently Head of Enterprise Learning & Performance Development at General Dynamics Information Technology where she is responsible for the design, delivery and management of talent and performance development solutions for GDIT’s $8B global business with nearly 30,000 employees. During her first year with GDIT, she played an instrumental role guiding talent development efforts during a merger that doubled the company’s size and led a comprehensive assessment of the Talent Development function that resulted in enhanced capabilities and cost savings of nearly $2M. She also established GDIT’s first company-wide competency model and related learning and organizational change management programs, leading to a 55% improvement in performance differentiation across all divisions.
Prior to joining GDIT, Megan held executive roles at Fortune 500 companies across a variety of industries from financial services to hospitality. Megan served as Vice President of Leadership & Learning with Pinnacle Entertainment, a $2B growth-oriented company with more than 15,000 team members across 17 distinct locations, where she was responsible for all aspects of onboarding, leadership and professional development, talent assessment and succession planning. In that capacity, she established a comprehensive ground-up strategy for organizational learning, implemented a values-aligned leadership competency model as the foundation for selection, development and performance management, and oversaw the development of an entirely new enterprise-wide curriculum that included more than 30 proprietary programs with structured role-based learning maps. These efforts contributed to a 5% decrease in enterprise 90-day turnover in just one year and positive year-over-year shifts of up to 10% in team member engagement, performance and customer experience.
Earlier in her career, Megan held roles such as Owner and President of PTR Leadership & Learning Solutions LLC, where she provided innovative, results-oriented talent development solutions aimed at building capabilities in the areas of personal impact and influence, leadership excellence and customer loyalty. Her high impact frameworks are copyrighted and have received consistent accolades for their ability to produce measurable impact, including 100% positive promoter scores, up to 50% improvement in participant skill levels and marked revenue growth. Megan also served as Director of Organizational Talent & Learning for Caesars Entertainment Corporation and Dean of Company-Wide Learning for The Vanguard Group of Investment Companies. She is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Business Administration and is certified by some of the country’s most well-known talent development providers, including DDI, HBDI, The Richardson Group and (formerly) Lominger. Megan has also been a featured speaker at industry conferences on corporate curriculum development, leadership and process improvement, holds a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and previously held Series 6 and 63 NASD licensing.
